A video from Roza Jalalpur village in Greater Noida's Gautam Buddh Nagar district shows villagers carrying a body through knee-deep water during a funeral procession. The route to the cremation ground was flooded due to recent rainfall. There is no permanent road to the cremation site, and waterlogging occurred as the village lacks a drainage system.
According to the individual who recorded the video, villagers had already informed the concerned department about the issue. Despite this, the condition reportedly remains unchanged. Residents claim even light rain leads to severe water accumulation, converting the path to the cremation ground into a waterlogged stretch.
Following the circulation of the video, local residents have demanded immediate action. They are urging authorities to construct a paved road leading to the cremation ground and implement a permanent solution for rainwater drainage to prevent future disruptions during last rites.
